Fishing Report
Right now Dolphin Season is in full swing. There are sailfish
around and most days lately we are getting a shot at one or more sailfish
but our target species right now is dolphin also known as Mahi-Mahi. Lately
there have been a good number of blackfin tuna and if we find something
floating there is a very chance of catching wahoo. The yellowtail snapper are also
biting very well on the reef if you prefer to do some reef fishing which is
a great option for those who only wish to fish a half day. Permit are biting
well on the wrecks! The big mean sharks are thick on the
Islamorada Hump and are making it hard to get an Amberjack to the boat there. Blue Marlin are sighted
every day free jumping when we go offshore fishing and we had two on this
week.

not a business owned by some independently wealthy,
retired or relocated person, the captain is not a hired hand, this is a
professional captain with a lifetime of experience fishing the Keys who owns
and operates his own boat. We want

John Deere diesels (diesels without the smell), top quality tackle and a vast array of modern electronics.
You will
catch fish! And have fun doing it with our friendly professional crew.
Our
rates are much less than the typical charter in the Florida Keys but our
catching isn't. No one wants to catch fish more than we do! Come get in on the
fun! If you need more than one boat for your group we can arrange that too
with other owner operated vessels. If you prefer a larger boat (more
expensive too) I will be happy to recommend other good captains.

We specialize in catching sailfish
during the winter and early spring. We
use live bait and light tackle. Often we sight fish for sailfish, this means
we are not trolling but actually searching (hunting with fishing rods!) for fish swimming and then
tossing a bait to them. And sometimes we also catch sailfish that are
showering bait. For the thrill of a lifetime come on down to the Keys and
get in the best sailfishing you can find in this country. This is an
experience you will never forget! If you have never done this before, we
will teach you, if you have, we will cater a trip to your skills. When
sailfishing we might also catch other species including kingfish, grouper,
snapper, cobia, tuna, bonita, barracuda and dolphin. We have lots of dates
open for the coming months and we do other types of fishing if you are not
interested in Sailfish.
